A SLOW FORMATION OF LETTERS 1998.
Typewriter, Broad Bean seeds, perspex, paper, nylon threads, soil
50 x 25 x variable

the leaves of the seedlings catch upon the threads, and cause the mechanical
typing hammers (linked by the threads) to slowly move towards the paper. Over
a period of four weeks, the beans cause a series of random letters to converge
towards the paper, typing a single letter. The first key it depressed was '+/-'
